Now it's been a while since I posted because things have been very hectic with the Christmas period over and the new year in tow ( happy New Year everyone :) ). I have been busy working 10.5-12 hour shifts at work non-stop which have left me exhausted and run down with a cold :( However I booked myself off some well deserved holiday this month and am glad to say I can't wait to blog about an makeup look and product that I have wanted to post about for a long time; so here it is :)

Today the makeup product I am blogging about is one of my favourite brands' eye shadow palettes: Technic's Mega Mattes Eye shadow palette, which I was influenced to buy after I came across Technic's Mega Nudes Eye Shadow palettes that came in three series, which I bought 2 of the 3 series: Technic Mega Nudes 2 and Technic Mega Nudes 3; both big favourites of mine (so a post about these will follow soon).

Now if you follow my blog, and from reading the above text, you will know I am a big fan of Technic's products, especially their eye shadows because of the affordability, quality and the non-animal testing of their products. I purchased Technic's Mega Mattes Palette for the amazing price of £2.99 and I can say for sure that money hasn't gone to waste.

I love Technic's Mega Mattes Eye shadow because of the smooth consistency the matte shadow has and the lovely nude to neutral colours that look so natural and effortless for an everyday look that takes just a few minutes to achieve.

Technic Mega Mattes Eye shadow Palette:

   Like I normally do, I have given a name to each eye shadow colour around the theme of cafe drinks, because of the coffee and cappuccino like colours they have, and also to add a bit of fun to the makeup looks I create.

To create this look, I firstly applied my everyday makeup, concealer, foundation and setting powder. I then took my flat eye shadow brush and gently applied the eye shadow for this look called 'Cappuccino' and gently placed onto my eyelids using light patting motions to distribute the eye shadow evenly and reduce fallout of the shadow under my eyes.
 
Taking my eye shadow blending brush, I then began to blend the eye shadow into the eye socket and along the eyelids to create a smokey look. I further applied a little more to the outer eyelids to build the smokey look with the shadow. To finish off, I applied mascara to my eye lashes and gently dusted away any excess eye shadow under my eyes using my powder brush to compete my look.

For a bigger impact with this look, such as for special occasions in the day or night, you can also add a dark lipstick to finish the look off, which I did using one of my favourite lipsticks, Rimmel's Long Lasting Lipstick in 'Asia'; to aid this dark smokey makeup look and transform this look into what I call Smokey Berry Cappuccino Look 😘.

I hope this makeup look was of interest and maybe even of great use for anyone looking for an affordable makeup look that is effortless yet effective for everyday wear or even night time wear for occasions such as parties or events 😃

Today I am going to share with you all one of my favourite makeup looks that I have been adopting of late and one of my best makeup products to use; my Bourbon Rose Blusher Look that I have created and have been wearing pretty much every day this summer, which I feel perfectly suits the summer weather.

This blusher look is created using Technic Baked Blusher in Peach, costing me the great price of £2.99! I love Technic makeup because of the affordability of their products and the amazing quality their makeup radiates when worn. This blusher is my absolute favourite, with it's peachy-pink tones being the perfect pigmentation for my pale skin tone.


One great characteristic of this Technic Baked Blusher, is that it has an amazing shimmer that mimics the illuminating effect of highlighter, creating the 2-in-1 effect of a highlighter and blusher all at once. Another great characteristic of all Technic products that I own, is Technic's 'Against Animal Testing' label on the bottom of all their products, making the product even more worth its cost with the knowledge your product wasn't applied to an animal during testing; which is something I find extremely difficult to find these days for an affordable price due to the large volume of popular brands that still test on animals.

The lush baked texture Technic's Baked Blusher has is the best characteristic for any makeup lover like myself. I adore baked makeup products because they always appear to hold such an intense shimmer, allowing you to easily apply an even amount of product onto your face, which doesn't cake or powder like other non-baked products I have used in the past. As a result, Technic Baked Blusher makes application extremely effective with just a few strokes using a blusher brush resulting in an intense, subtle application of blusher; that appears perfectly and doesn't take long to achieve like some non baked blushes I have used, which just never seem to apply enough to make the blusher visible yet look natural at the same time.

Following the effective application of blusher, Technic Baked Blusher works to illuminate a healthy glow without any build up of blusher, with the blusher spreading evenly onto your face; radiating a healthy, peachy glow perfect for summer and making me feeling great.

This Bourbon Rose Blusher Look I have created can also be tailored to other seasons such as spring, with the soft pigmentation creating the perfect makeup look for any occasion.

✨ Avon Clearskin | Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask Review ✨

Recently I have been trying Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask and I have to say I think it's a great skincare product to use to treat your skin to a deep treatment cleanse. Due to the warm summer weather, my skin has been suffering pretty badly of late in terms of blemishes, and so I decided to find a face mask that's affordable to purchase, and easy and effective to use.  As the result of my search, I came across Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask, and being a fan of Avon products because of their affordability and effectiveness, and strict no animal testing moral they have for all their products (see here if interested in reading), I couldn't help but to order myself a tube of face mask and wait to see the results.

I ordered Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask from Avon's catelogue (you can also head over  www.Avon.co.com site to purchase their products), and it cost me just £2.50 for a 75ml tube, which is an amazingly affordable price for a mineral face mask skincare product. When using the face mask, I was surprised by the masks ability to actually penetrate the pores of my skin, leaving tiny little dots in the face mask where the pores on my skin were once the mask had dried. 

When using Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask after 10-15 minutes, I rinsed the mask off, and it left my skin feeling soft and smooth, alongside being the first face mask I had tried that hadn't left my skin dry; proving that this face mask is a pretty great product to use. I've continued to use the face mask, applying it 2-3 times a week and waiting for the mask to turn grey when dry after 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off, and the results are great. Not only does the mask leave my skin smooth and soft, but it also helps to resolve blemishes by penetrating the pores on my face, and as a result I suffer from less blemishes reappearing where they were previously due to enlarged or blocked pores.

Overall I would rate Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask 5 out of 5, because it does what it says on the tube and helps to reduce blemishes from appearing and reappearing; something that I am overjoyed about for someone who's skin is effected so easily by variety of factors from temperature and weather, hormones, food and stress such as from lack of sleep. 

   Another great characteristic about Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask, is that I can apply it to my face, and during the 10-15 minutes whilst I wait for it to dry, I can do other things, leaving the mask time to cleanse my skin whilst I get on with other jobs; making the mask time efficient and effective unlike some face masks I've used in the past which take a the long time for the product to work.

So I urge anyone with skin like mine, and who's willing to try Avon's Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask to go ahead, and quickly purchase a tube whilst Avon still have this product on offer for £2.50, because I love it and it's a perfect face mask to help cleanse and treat my skin for a effective deep cleanse.

Recently with the British weather warming up as we enjoy Summer, I have finally dared for the first time since I became a teenager, to not wear tights when out in public. This is solely because as I've become older, (turning 20 soon in November yikes! ) I have become more comfortable to be me, and as the result, I decided to no longer wear tights in the summer, because lets be honest why would I wear them, when I swear down not wearing tights is so much more comfortable in this intense British heat; and when I question the feeling that I'm expected to have perfect legs when in fact they are not perfect and I am perfectly contempt with that.

As the result of this, one thing that I have been taking care of, is moisturising my legs so that they look healthy but are completely natural during these summer months. And the one moisturising cream that I love right now, is Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra- Replenishing Lotion, a perfect lotion to use and take on your travels this summer. 

I decided to try this brand of moisturiser a few months ago, because I have always suffered from dry, itchy and sensitive skin, especially during changes in temperature from cold to hot, and decided enough was enough. In conjunction with this factor, I have always been searching for a afforable moisturiser that once applied, leaves my skin smooth and moisturised for the whole day, instead of moisturised for few hours before I experience itchy, dry skin again. 

   And I cannot emphasis enough how amazed I am at the results of using Garnier's Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion recently, because it really does what Garnier says on the bottle, having a "replenishing" effect on your skin. I have never come across ANY brand, and I really do mean any, that fully moisturises my skin the way Garnier's lotion does; and that I can find in shops at a affordable price. 

   

Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion is my star winner this summer, because its the perfect beauty product that anyone can use to care for your skin this season with great results, be it alongside you in your room or on holiday near the seaside.
   When I first tried Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, applying it to my legs and arms, it had a cooling feeling to my skin, absorbed into my skin quickly, and left my arms and legs feeling silky and moisturised the whole day. Furthermore, even after showering the same day, my skin still felt smooth and moisturised! It's a miracle I swear because my skin never stays moisurised, especially after a shower! I will even go as far to emphasise this lotion to be so good, by telling you all that it lasts the whole night and day, after I applied it to my legs and arms after a shower, went to bed, woke up the next day, wore a skirt without tights, and walked around in 31'C (that is very hot for British weather) weather with still fully moisturised, replenished skin by the ed of the second day.

Garnier's 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion also has helped my skin become healthier and more replenished; enabling it to stop becoming itchy and dry. Now even if I don't apply the lotion every night, but once a week, my skin stays moisturised. And after about a month of using Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, my skin even stays moisturised 2 weeks after I stop applying it, with no itchy skin like I would normally have.

Overall, I would rate this product a 4.5 out of 5, so I urge everyone with skin like mine to go ahead and purchase Garnier's 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, because it really does help your skin become healthier, replenished, and rids you of itchy, dry, skin; leaving you feeling happier and healthier as you bask in the summer sunshine. Finally, I will also tell you that its pretty affordable too, considering the positive effects it has on your skin which you would find in a very expensive lotion from other top brands designed to help dry skin; costing me approximately £1.80 from Wilkinsons, my favourite affordable shop to buy great brands at great prices; now reduced on www.wilko.com from £3.00 to £1.80 which is an absolute bargain!

Today I thought I would share two of my favourite nail polish and lipstick duos with all lovely people.

Previously I purchased two Technic nail polishes for the very affordable price of 99p in the colours of 'Morello' and 'Seashell'. And when I got home, I realised that they go perfectly with two of my favourite lip sticks: Maybelline Long Lashing Lipsticks in 'Drop of Sherry' and Kate Moss' nudes collection in 'Rock 'n' Roll Nude'.



These duos are perfect for any special occasion out, be it a day out or for a party. The best thing is that the lipstick has strong pigments that match the strong pigments of the nail polishes. The Technic polishes are great, because for an affordable nail polish, they're consistency is very good and they last for a long time without chipping and coming off; even for someone like myself who is always busy at work picking up products and serving customers and writing non stop at college.
    The lipsticks are an absolute favourite of mine. I adore their pigments and they have a lovely cream-like consistency to them, meaning they can be applied evenly and leave your lips looking smooth and you looking gorgeous.

One duo that I love is the grouping of Maybelline Long Lasting Lipstick in 'Drop of Sherry' and Technic Nail Polish in 'Morello'. These two beauty products seem to compliment each other completely, and I call this duo 'Very Berry'. Their pigments are a dark red berry colour, one of my most favourite colours recently that I cannot get enough of. This duo is perfect for a special occasion, or even just every day, as they add a pop of colour to your look that's neither too bright or too pale but is perfect to give a little extra to your look. This duo is my most used beauty duo at the moment.


My second duo that are ideal for any occasion, especially later in the year with spring and summer, is the combination of Maybelline Long Lasting Lipstick in 'Rock 'n' Roll Nude' and Technic Nail Polish in 'Seashell'. The metallic pigments in the nail polish compliments the nude pink undertones and pigments in the lipstick, giving off a shimmery, pinkish look; perfect to convey a elegant feel to your look. This duo is also used often by me when, especially during every day because the paler colours are more subtle but still intense in their pink pigments. I have named this duo 'Pearl Pink' for their lovely pink tones that convey a subtle feeling of elegance.

I thought I would share two nail polish colours that I think are great for any night out or occasion when dressing to impress is key; and what better way than with very affordable nail polishes.

I purchased these Technic nail polishes from Body Care a few weeks ago for the affordable price of 99p, in a selection of colours that I just love; a metallic polish in the colour of 'Seashell', and a dark, satin-effect nail polish in 'Morello'.
   These nail polishes are not only affordable for 99p each, but are also a rich colour and great consistency when applied, meaning they would look great for any occasion, such as a party or a night out, and makes it easy to apply without the fuss to need to apply non-stop layers and layers; making them a must-purchase item.

When it comes to nail polish, I am not one to be fussy about the brand. To me personally, if a brand serves me well and is a good match for me, then I will continue to appreciate it's ability, especially if a brand is cheaper and more effective than another brand;because there's nothing more worse than spending lots of money on expensive makeup and beauty brands, only to discover they don't actually do anything or are of a terrible quality. But these nail polishes however are the exception.

The nail polishes are affordable- great for a student like me who only works part-time in retail for long hours- the consistency is great, meaning you only need to apply one layer to achieve a great coverage and colour, instead of using two or three coats of polish which takes forever to dry. The nail polishes also come in a large variety of colours, meaning you can afford to pick as many a you like. I mean just imagine spending £6.00 on just one polish that holds 12ml, when you can have six 12ml nail polishes for £5.94; definitely a better deal for a beauty product that you want to keep.


Overall these polishes are a definitely a very affordable party nail polish, that's perfect for any occasion. I adore their colours and their purple tones. These polishes are also pretty versatile for a nail polish, especially for someone like me who is always busy at work where the polish could be scratched off; a very ideal characteristic wanted in any nail polish.
