My New Skin Care Detox | Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash

My New Skin Care Detox | Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash

Hello to all my followers and visitors to my blog 😊

Today I thought I'd share a product with you all that is ideal for the everyday skincare budget and that I am pretty impressed with at the moment; Boots Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial wash.
I have used Boots own skincare brands for years due to the effectiveness of their products on my combination skin; which is highly sensitive to other big brands such as Nivea which aggravates my skin, makes it go red and inflammed or Simple which made my skin produce excess oils because the product would dry my skin out. Since I was sixteen, I have used Boots trusty Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash and Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Gel (both really good products for combination skin :) ) to help control my skin in the lead up to prom (accompanied by an all important healthy diet to aid skin health including natural yogurt and berries to provide antioxidants for my skin) and the results were so good, I've kept using their skincare ever since and I'll be 20 next week.

And this leads me onto my newest addition to their skincare brand, the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash which works a treat on my skin, and here's why I love it.
I purchased the facial wash which has active charcoal in it for £4.75, which is a pretty average price for a product with charcoal in it, that, as you all may have noticed, is a MASSIVE beauty and skincare trend at the moment. And although the price of £4.75 isn't the cheapest, I put it down in my affordable everyday skincare bucket, as I purchase it alongside my two other skincare necessities, Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash and Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Gel, in a 3 for 2 offer, meaning I buy the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash and Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash and get the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Gel free; meaning I have saved £3.29 in this offer on skincare items I use everyday.

But aside from the cost and convenience, another reason why I love this face wash is because of the calming effect it has on my skin, with tea tree and witch hazel naturally reducing inflammation and acting as an antibacterial, and the active charcoal drawing out impurities which in turn helps my skin to heal effectively. This means that I can apply the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Wash to my face once I have wet it in warm water, and leave it on my skin to soak in, kind of like a mask, and reduce inflammation, which immediately leaves my skin feeling refreshed and looking brighter and less inflamed; an unlikely experience for most of us with combination skin, where companies claim their products work straight away but yet we see no difference. And as an occasional skincare product once or twice a week to replace my everyday Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash on occasional days, which may I add actually works unlike many other products, the cost is well worth the positive effects I experience.

To add, because of the facial wash's effectiveness, I use it like a face mask because of the beneficial charcoal it has in it, leaving the product to work on my skin  twice or once a week, depending on the condition of my skin, such as when my skin feels sore or is inflammed with blemishes; I will put the wash on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. And the best bit being that the facial wash sits like a mask on your face yet isn't a face mask designed to dry,  it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight unlike other products I have tried in the past, and is easier to remove when washing off.

Thank you for reading, I hope this was helpful for anyone like myself who lives with combination skin and is willing to try a skincare product that actually shows results.

Yours truly,

Caris  😊
