Spring Denim Look | The Girlfriend Jean

Spring Denim Look | The Girlfriend Jean

My Girlfriend Jeans paired with White Ribbed Sleeveless
Turtle Neck top, black belt, grey Bat Wing Over
Sized Cardigan, and grey Trainers.

Hey,

Hope all is well,

It has occurred to me over the past few days, that we are finally past miserable Winter and into Spring! And with the promise of sunnier days and beautiful budding flowers just over the horizon, I thought that today I would share with you all one of my favourite Spring outfits that I've been dying to wear and post about: my Demin Girlfriend Jean look that is perfect for warmer-than-winter Spring weatherπŸŒ…

Jeans are something that are timeless, with their use spanning back many years and yet they still continue to be a key fashion item today. You name it, denim dresses, demin shirts, denim jackets and of course probably one of the most used clothing item ever: denim jeans; an item I always wear which can make you look casual, glam or chick.

So, my current favourite denim jeans right now are the 'Girlfriend Jean'. This style of jean can also be found in 'Boyfriend Jean' style as well, and are a throwback to our previous 90's fashion, such as with our loose over sized jeans now know as 'Boyfriend' or 'Girlfriend' Jeans, and our high neck tank tops. I cannot get enough of my 'Girlfriend Jeans'. I just love their over sized look, with their turned up ankles that I am also obsessed with right now; and the ripped and patch work design placed on the front. And the best part is that due to their over-sized style, these jeans are extremely comfortable to wear, which is an important feature of any fashion item in my wardrobe.
Grey, Over-sized Bat-Wing Over Sized Cardigan paired with this outfit.

I purchased these jeans in the sale for £11.99 reduced from £24.99 which I am happy I did, because they are a definite fashion best buy that's very affordable for a high street fashion item- especially in comparison to more pricey high street retailers.
The Girlfriend Jean definitely achieves a laid-back, casual vibe, but is a versatile fashion item which can be paired with a variety of items to achieve multiple looks. I really mean it, these jeans are versatile.

For a casual, daytime outfit, I pair the jeans with my black belt, my white Ribbed Sleeveless Turtle Neck top (an essential for all fashion I swear), grey Bat-Wing Over Sized Cardigan, and grey trainers to complete my look. This outfit is my favourite with the casual, chilled  feel it radiates. I also wear my Black Daisy Print Halter top tucked into the jeans for even more of a laid back look.
To achieve a more grungy, chick look, I also pair these jeans with my black Cut-Out Shoulder Tank Top, my black belt, black Leather Jacket, and my black Chunky Chelsea Heeled Boots; a look that really did live in the 90's.

White, Ribbed Sleeveless Turtle Neck Top also paired with this outfit.

It's clear that I just love the 90's look right now; the 'Girlfriend Jean' and the Halter, High Neck/ Turtle Neck Sleeveless Tops. These jean are also great, because they suit all body shapes whilst providing a lot of comfort when worn. I can say that for a person with long legs, high hips and wide rib cage, that this style really does flatter and radiates a chilled vibe.

The best part is these 'Girl Friend' jeans also look great around Autumn. So if you want to purchase this item, go on, do it, because I have had my eyes on these jeans for a while, and when I saw them on sale for such a great price, I couldn't help but snatch them up.

This Season's Statement Item | Chenille Roll Neck Jumper

This Season's Statement Item | Chenille Roll Neck Jumper

Hey,

With the clocks set back and the day light fading, Winter has set in. And with this change of weather, there's nothing I like more than a new, warm item to add to my Winter wardrobe collection.

This Chenille Roll Neck Jumper is my newest addition to my Winter wardrobe, and being a massive jumper addict- especially for the thick, roll neck types- I am in love with this new jumper already.
Costing me just £16, it's affordable and a great fashion statement item that will keep you warm in the cold Winter months.

The Chenille Roll Neck Jumper achieves a casual, effortless look for the Winter season. Paired with Black Skinny jeans and Black Chelsea Boots, I feel this outfit is elegantly congruous for any Winter occasion.

This jumper is a definite favourite of mine. It's affordable, simple and elegant. It is extremely warm with a soft texture to it, making it very comfortable to wear; something I believe is highly important for any item included in my Winter wardrobe this year.

Autumnal Look | My Autumn Wardrobe Favourite

Autumnal Look | My Autumn Wardrobe Favourite

Hey, hope all is well,

With the leaves turning brown and the temperature dropping, Autumn has arrived. in response to the change of season, it only seems appropriate to grab anything warm we can find and throw it on. And with this norm, I felt it was time to update my Autumnal wardrobe for the chilling season ahead.

In this cold weather, there's nothing I love more than big coat to keep me warm; and I think I've found my love. A few days ago, I brought this Faux Fur Collar Burgundy Duster Coat for £35.00, and have decided it is one of my favourite items πŸ˜ƒ

I love the colour burgundy, especially in the Autumn when the leaves turn yellow, to gold, to burgundy, to brown. Walking around buttoned up in this coat, I've never felt more congruous for the season. Paired with skinny black jeans and a jumper and black Chelsea boots, I feel set for the cold weather.

I adore this coat and it's growing on me by the day. The best part is that it's a statement piece that changes your look from cozy to glamorous and makes you look felicitous for the Autumnal days ahead.

The Faux Fur collar keeps you warm and the best part is that it can be unbuttoned and taken off, transforming your coat into a Boyfriend Coat; meaning you can change your look and add to it to suit any occasion.

About Me | Part 2: My Favourite & Newly Discovered Musicians and Their Music

About Me | Part 2: My Favourite & Newly Discovered Musicians and Their Music

Previously I posted a blog post on my favourite and newly discovered musicians and their music- About Me | My Favourite & Newly Discovered Musicians and Their Music-  and since I have developed a liking for more songs, from some artists who won awards at the 2016
Brit Awards a little while ago (unless I'm getting confused in that case just nod and ignore me haha).  Now just to add, I'm no music expert, so stay with me when I describe why I like the songs and artists; I'm afraid I just don't know musical jargon. So here they are...

Adele:
Yes, I love her new song 'Hello'. The way the music flows sounds so lovely and I can't help but love this song; even if some of us may have heard it so often we've become tired of it.

Coldplay:
As mentioned before, Coldplay are a definite favourite, and their new song 'Hyme For The Weekend' has got me hooked. I just love the way the music sounds and the tune to it. Basically, to be frank, I just adore Coldplay; no doubt about it. :)

There you go, a few more of my favourite musicians and their songs to add to my 'favourites' list :)

Caris

About Me | My Favourite & Newly Discovered Musicians and Their Music

About Me | My Favourite & Newly Discovered Musicians and Their Music

Ever feel upset, challenged, angry, exhausted or annoyed and turned to music and it helped you through? Well same here. Music affects my mood in a way I never thought possible. A fast beat and rhythm makes me type and work like mad, helps me concentrate as if I'm working at the rate that the music is playing. So here are songs I love from artists I admire for their musical talent.
I just want to add, I am no music specialist, just expressing my personality and preferences in this post. They may be different from music others may prefer, or never heard of before by others, but this is just my personal choice of music and everyone has the right to their personal likes especially when concerning music as a aspect of our identity.

Foxes:
Foxes' music is something I love. I love the creativity in her music and the beat and rhythm. 'Holding On To Heaven', 'Youth', 'White Coats', 'Night Glo' from her album 'Glorious' (Deluxe) are some of my favourites, although I love all her songs from all her albums.

1975:
I love 1975's pop rock styled music they present in their music. They are a long time favourite of mine, and now I've their 1975 album from Christmas, I'll have a constant supply of their music wherever I go.  'Chocolate' is a favourite of mine from their album '1975' but yet again I love literally all their albums and songs.

Years & Years:
Another group I love, is Years & Years. These guys make some interesting music, and by interesting I mean music that seems to get my head just stuck in repeat playing their songs over and over again xD  'King' from their album 'King'. 'Foundation', 'Shine', '1977', 'Take Shelter' and 'Real' from their album 'Communion' (deluxe) are some of my favourites.

Ellie Goulding:
I adore Ellie Goulding's songs, especially from her new album 'Delirium' (deluxe) with 'Codes', 'Something In The Way You Move' and 'Always On My Mind', which I tend to listen to when working or when walking to work for 30 minutes, keep me from boredom with their increasing beats. Lights-the singe version- from her album Bright Lights is an old favourite of mine.

Lana Del Ray:
As I type this, I am currently listening to Lana Del Ray's music. I like the way her songs sound, with the different instruments she uses and interesting, in-depth verses which you can sit for hours and listen to. Some of my favourites are 'West Coast', 'Ultraviolence' and 'Sad Girl' from the album 'Ultraviolence'. 'Summer Time Sadness' the single featuring Lana Del Ray vs. Cedric Gervais. Following the above, her song 'Old Money' also from the album 'Ultraviolence', is a favourite, with its elegance in the lines and the sense of some kind of sadness that Lana Del Ray sings about.

Echosmith:
The band I discovered two summers ago after finishing my GCSE exams, are an old favourite of mine. This group are, to my awareness, appearing in shops where I live and even at my work becoming more obvious as I'm out and about ( being, of which working in retail) My favourites are 'Up To You' from 'Talking Dreams' their album, the Deluxe version, followed by 'Lets Love', 'Cool Kids', 'Brights, 'Tell Her You Love Her', 'Nothing's Wrong' and 'Ran Off In The Night', all from the same album (Talking Dreams-Deluxe version).

These are just a few of my chosen musical artists and their songs, and of course my music choice may be completely different to another individual, but it's here, shared with you, providing the chance to get to know a little bit more about me as the blogger of this website :)
