🌄 The Key Beauty Staple this Summer | Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion 🌄

🌄 The Key Beauty Staple this Summer | Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion 🌄

Hello my lovely followers and visitors 😃

Recently with the British weather warming up as we enjoy Summer, I have finally dared for the first time since I became a teenager, to not wear tights when out in public. This is solely because as I've become older, (turning 20 soon in November yikes! ) I have become more comfortable to be me, and as the result, I decided to no longer wear tights in the summer, because lets be honest why would I wear them, when I swear down not wearing tights is so much more comfortable in this intense British heat; and when I question the feeling that I'm expected to have perfect legs when in fact they are not perfect and I am perfectly contempt with that.

As the result of this, one thing that I have been taking care of, is moisturising my legs so that they look healthy but are completely natural during these summer months. And the one moisturising cream that I love right now, is Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra- Replenishing Lotion, a perfect lotion to use and take on your travels this summer.

I decided to try this brand of moisturiser a few months ago, because I have always suffered from dry, itchy and sensitive skin, especially during changes in temperature from cold to hot, and decided enough was enough. In conjunction with this factor, I have always been searching for a afforable moisturiser that once applied, leaves my skin smooth and moisturised for the whole day, instead of moisturised for few hours before I experience itchy, dry skin again.
And I cannot emphasis enough how amazed I am at the results of using Garnier's Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion recently, because it really does what Garnier says on the bottle, having a "replenishing" effect on your skin. I have never come across ANY brand, and I really do mean any, that fully moisturises my skin the way Garnier's lotion does; and that I can find in shops at a affordable price.

Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion is my star winner this summer, because its the perfect beauty product that anyone can use to care for your skin this season with great results, be it alongside you in your room or on holiday near the seaside.
When I first tried Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, applying it to my legs and arms, it had a cooling feeling to my skin, absorbed into my skin quickly, and left my arms and legs feeling silky and moisturised the whole day. Furthermore, even after showering the same day, my skin still felt smooth and moisturised! It's a miracle I swear because my skin never stays moisurised, especially after a shower! I will even go as far to emphasise this lotion to be so good, by telling you all that it lasts the whole night and day, after I applied it to my legs and arms after a shower, went to bed, woke up the next day, wore a skirt without tights, and walked around in 31'C (that is very hot for British weather) weather with still fully moisturised, replenished skin by the ed of the second day.

Garnier's 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion also has helped my skin become healthier and more replenished; enabling it to stop becoming itchy and dry. Now even if I don't apply the lotion every night, but once a week, my skin stays moisturised. And after about a month of using Garnier 7 Days Intensive Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, my skin even stays moisturised 2 weeks after I stop applying it, with no itchy skin like I would normally have.

Overall, I would rate this product a 4.5 out of 5, so I urge everyone with skin like mine to go ahead and purchase Garnier's 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion, because it really does help your skin become healthier, replenished, and rids you of itchy, dry, skin; leaving you feeling happier and healthier as you bask in the summer sunshine. Finally, I will also tell you that its pretty affordable too, considering the positive effects it has on your skin which you would find in a very expensive lotion from other top brands designed to help dry skin; costing me approximately £1.80 from Wilkinsons, my favourite affordable shop to buy great brands at great prices; now reduced on www.wilko.com from £3.00 to £1.80 which is an absolute bargain!

p.s: check out the other Garnier products too I highly recommend them such as their Garnier Intensive 7 Days Restoring Hand Cream :)

Ultimate Make Up Crush | Baked Eye Shadow

Ultimate Make Up Crush | Baked Eye Shadow

Hey,

For this post, I thought I would share with all of you my one makeup product that I just can't not get enough of right now: baked eye shadow and the smokey eye look. When it comes to my favourite make up, I don't just mean big brands, oh no, I mean all the brands I have.
So for my baked eye shadow, this collection consists of many different brands that I discovered and now adore. If I love a make up product, I don't mind what brand it is, be it cheap or averagely priced, I'm willing to try it out and adopt it as my own; because I love to save money via the best deals and money saving includes trying new brands at more affordable prices.

'Frosted Rose' and 'Golden Bronze Baked Eye shadow'.

the shimmer and
satin effect they create.

To  me, baked eye shadow is amazing. I love the look you can achieve with it and the consistency this eye shadow has with its satin-like effect when it catches in the light. Because it's baked, I find it tends to last longer, yet still looks fabulous on your eyes, meaning you can save on topping up your stash. Another great thing I find about baked eye shadow, is that due to this eye shadow being baked, it has more shimmer to it, making the coverage fuller on your eyelids. This in turn allows you to develop your look from pretty to glam, just by adding more baked shadow with the best results via dabbing and pressing the shadow gently onto the lids for a chick look. So let me introduce my most used baked shadows and their looks. I have incorporated images to show their consistency, some taken in the day with natural lighting to highlight the intensity of the pigment and satin-like shimmer, and images taken in artificial lighting to represent their satin effect and pigment in darker environments at night.
Day: 'Golden Bronze Baked Eye shadow'.
Upper left: 'Copper Gold', upper right: 'Golden
Bronze', lower left: 'Frosted ivory', lower Right:
'Chocolate'.

Baked eye shadow is my ultimate make up crush right now. When I'm getting ready for a night out, such as to a restaurant or occasion, I always turn to is my smokey eye silver look (yes I created the name myself because I think a commonly used look has to have an official name).

For the day, my first look I turn to is my most faithful 'Dark Bronze Baked Eye Shadow' set which I adore. This shadow is versatile (like other baked eye shadows) and can be paired with any normal pressed eye shadow, such as when I use my 'Golden Bronze Baked Eye Shadow' with my 'Silver Nude Pressed Shadow' from a long lasting palette of mine. This duo go hand-in-hand to achieve a subtly smokey look for the day, using 'Silver Nude' for the base and 'Golden Bronze' for the crease of the eye.
Night: 'Golden Bronze Baked Eye shadow'.
Upper left: 'Copper Gold', upper right: 'Golden
Bronze', lower left: 'Frosted ivory', lower Right:
'Chocolate'.

At the night to achieve my second favourite look with these baked shadows, I use the dark smokey look, by adding 'Chocolate' to the look on my outer corner of the eyelid to create depth and make my eyes pop; highlighting my eyes with the 'Silver Nude' whilst giving off a dark smokey look with 'Golden Bronze' and 'Chocolate'. In my post, 🎃 🎀 Halloween Look | Broken Porcelain Doll 🎀 🎃 I used these shadows to create my look and illuminate my eyes, which you can see by clicking the link.

My third favourite look, is a simple coat of my 'Golden Bronze Baked Eye Shadow'. I start on the outside of my eye lid and work my way in, building on the intensity of the shadow, adding more pigment to the crease of the eye and blending the shadow. My favourite part about this look is the way the shimmer in the eye shadow catches the light, highlighting your eyes and giving a soft glow along side the warm pigmentation which compliments my skin tone. An even better fact is that this eye shadow look takes minutes to perfect and just adds a little extra to your make up look.

Day: Technic 'Bronzing Eyeshadows Baked Eyeshadow'
 palette in 'Frosted Rose'

Finally, the last baked eye shadow that I will rant about, is my newly discovered 'Bronzing Eyeshadows Baked Eye Shadow' Palette from Technic. This palette was around £2.99 I believe and I came across it when Christmas shopping one day. Being the baked eye shadow addict that I am, especially a bronze coloured eye shadow lover, I snatched it up. I had been looking for a pinkish bronze baked shadow for a long time, so when I came across this palette I couldn't believe my luck. There were so many palettes to choose from, all with lush colours, but in the end I turned to this 'Bronzing Eyeshadows Baked Eye Shadow' palette in what I like to call 'Frosted Rose' because of the shimmer and pinkish undertones which I adore

 Night: Technic 'Bronzing Eyeshadows
Baked Eyeshadow' palette in 'Frosted Rose'
The palette consists of six shadows, all as individually gorgeous as one other, and all with a pinkish pigmented undertone to them. A great part is that not only was this brand cost effective, costing just £2.99 for baked bronze eye shadows, but it's against animal testing, unlike top brands such as 'Rimmel' and 'Maybelline'. This may come as an unexpected fact for some, as many people believe 'cheap' or cost- effective make up is of low quality and therefore bad morals; but in this case that stigma is wrong.

I am  ultimately in love with this 'Bronzing Eye Shadows Baked Eye Shadow' palette, even the way it looks is amazing, with the rose-silver pigmentation and effect it presents. When I got this palette home I loved it so much, I even said to myself "Ohh this palette is so bea" when testing a few shadows on my hand 😄  I am so excited to try this new palette, and see what new smokey eye looks I can concoct, and which of these are best suited to specific occasions. It's decided: this palette is a keeper.
The back of the Technic 'Bronzing Eyeshadows Baked
Eyeshadow' palette. The small heart says 'Against Animal Testing'

So there are a few of my looks along side the baked shadows I use to create my most used looks; including the introduction to my newest ultimate makeup crush, the 'Bronzing Baked Eye Shadow' palette.

A thing I cannot get over about baked eye shadow, is that it has such an intense shimmer and allows you to create more depth than pressed shadows allow you to. This makes your look appear even more glamorous then it would be if using pressed eye shadow alone, and more chick than usual; a perfect way to make your look unique.

Favourite Lipstick Picks | Lipsticks I Couldn't Live Without

Favourite Lipstick Picks | Lipsticks I Couldn't Live Without

Hey,
I am a lipstick kind of girl. No lip gloss, just classic lipstick. There's no other makeup type that I could never get enough of than lipstick. Matte lipstick or cream effect, I have them all.
So here are a few of my favourite lipsticks and reviews on each.

Lipsticks:
There is nothing better than a smooth, glossy lipstick. A method I use to keep the glossy effect lasting with my lipstick, is to apply lip moisturiser/ lip balm to my lips to provide a smooth, hydrated base to evenly apply my lipstick to. Plus, because the base -my lips- is smooth and hydrated, it's easy to correct lipstick to ensure it looks great.
Gosh, 'Shocking Coral'
Gosh 'Shocking Coral': A brand that I have read don't test on animals, Gosh is affordable and has multiple lipstick colours to choose from. I chose 'Shocking Coral' because I seem to have a thing about coral coloured lipsticks and I just love how there's so many different coral colours for each lipstick. I am not sure how much this cost. as I purchased it a while back but it was definitely under £7.00.

Avon, 'Pink Pop'
Avon, 'Pink Pop': One of my all time favourites and I can honestly say the glossiest and creamiest lipstick without the thick glitter incorporated into the lipstick which I hate (as I'm one who's fussy about makeup not looking natural and looking over the top), this lipstick from Avon in 'Pink Pop' suits for everyday use without the harsh, false effect that some lipsticks and their colour can have; with its colour being near natural lip colour, it looks great no matter what you wear. As you can see, I've nearly finished this lipstick because I wear it so often.
Maybelline, 'More To Adore'
I wore this lipstick to prom alongside my pale pink dress, and the lipstick did not contrast at all, adding to the look. I'm sad to say it's slowly running out and they don't have this lipstick any more :/ I received this lipstick in a Christmas goody bag from Avon given to me, so don't know it's price, but this lipstick is, by far, hands down the best lipstick I've ever had! Avon, I have found, have by far the best quality lipstick with the smoothest texture out of all the lipsticks from all the beauty brands I've tried and affordable for a great quality lipstick. I definitely recommend! :)

Maybelline, 'More To Adore': Another lipstick that has a creamy, smooth texture to it, is Maybelline's 'Colour Sensational Lipstick',  'More To Adore'. The second creamiest of all lipsticks I have ever tried, this lipstick is more of a soft pink tone and has a texture that enables you to apply the lipstick smoothly and so evenly. Costing £6.99 this lipstick is worth it's price and another tone that is perfect for everyday use, without looking too bright or bold; something someone like me is unlikely to want to wear everyday.
Maybelline, Kate Moss, 'Rock 'N'
Roll Nude'

Maybelline Lasting Finish, Kate Moss, 'Rock 'N' Roll Nude': This lipstick is part of Kate Moss's "Favourite reds and nudes" selection of lipsticks from Maybelline's Kate Moss collection. I have been looking for a nude coloured lipstick that suits my pale skin tone, yet is smooth and glossy for a great look; and that won't dry up quickly. This lipstick is a lovely colour and there are two other nude shades to pick from. I purchased this lipstick alongside a 'buy one get one half price' offer and it cost me just £3.25 which is a great price for a big branded lipstick, originally costing £6.49; and I have to say I do love it :)  The shade, as it is said to be, looks natural like a nude lipstick, but has a pinker hue to it than other nude lipsticks meaning it adds a bit of colour to your look. It's definitely becoming a favourite of mine :) I would definitely recommend this for a nude,, natural-like effect lipstick :)

Matte Lipsticks:
Avon, 'Peach Flatters'
I love a good matte lipstick, but it has to be worth it's title, and not chip like poor quality matte lipsticks do or come off easily. The whole point of a matte lipstick is to give a matte effect, hence its name, and this can be hard to apply with dry lips for a dry-like feel lipstick. So with any matte lipstick I use lip moisturiser first to make sure the lipstick is easy to apply and will not tug at the lip, causing an uneven application of lipstick that can look pretty bad. This matte lipstick also lasts for hours, even when eating and drinking, the colour stays.

Avon, 'Peach Flatters: I love this matte lipstick from Avon, called 'Peach flatters', on sale for £5.50 via their catelogue. The colour is similar to a fascia and has a slight brown hue to it to deepen the colour, similar to a berry colour, and to add, Avon don't test on animals. I can also say that I have found Avon's quality of lipstick to be the best out of all the lipsticks I have tried from a multitude of makeup brands.
Revlon, 'Audacious

Revlon, 'Audacious': Another favourite matte lipstick, is 'Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm' in 'Audacious'. The lipstick is called a lip balm as it's in crayon form and it's colour is a coral colour which suits my skin tone a treat as I've pale skin. To add, I can get away with this colour as a near red lipstick, due to my pale skin tone and the lipsticks pigments, yet without the harsh contrast that red lipstick has against my pale skin.

As you can see, these six lipsticks are my favourites, and are from various brands, with some brands occurring more because I love their products so much. There are some old and nearly all gone, and others new and already becoming a massive favourite of mine. I just adore them all :)

Week One Review | Can Hair Oils Create Healthy Hair Results?..

Week One Review | Can Hair Oils Create Healthy Hair Results??...:

My hair is, what one could say, a challenge. I admit  that, yes now I am older, my hair is a lot, in fact many times better, but there's always one issue. Split ends. I have my hair trimmed on the ends and feathered every four to six weeks minimum, I brush my hair working from the bottom and am a healthy food obsessor. I am certain the amount of vegetables, protein, fruits, minerals and healthy fats in my diet are enough to sustain me; so what's the deal?

The VO5 hair oils that I have been using
Well... my Hair Dresser says my hair is thick, but isn't. It's not fine, but average and by three Hairdressers they've all said "There is a lot of hair on your head, why so much hair?". With feathering and cutting, you would think my hair would contain itself. Now the frizz factor is back, and with hair being a odd deep blonde, going into verges of ginger in some places (I had 'strawberry blonde' hair as a baby until about three years of age) and brown in others, it looks like a wavy, curly, frizzy mess :/ Even more irritating-yes, my hair does have that 'shine' that hair should have, but the ends are terrible after some time, and that got me thinking; maybe my hair needs a spa day. Hair oils, to feed my hair with nutrients and moisture.  So I went hunting, taking me seconds after remembering someone gave me hair oils, a four pack from VO5 and I never opened them.  So after my massive paragraphs about my hair, here is my review to hair oils after day one.

Week one before applying first tube of
hair oil. Here my hair appears
rather fine and not very full.
Lets see if this changes..
The back of the pack said you must dampen hair first and "lather" the oils into your hair, after leaving the oils to heat up in the bath, sink or shower. With this oil, the instructions said to be sure NOT to exceed time for over a minute other "this product may cause irritation", a bit of a concern for me, however I left it on for roughly 30 to 40 seconds. Then came washing the product out in time to avoid the irritation; which took some time. Afterwards, I was instructed by the packet information to carry on with my shampoo/ shampoo and conditioner, but being me, I forgot to buy conditioner... um....

The night I left my hair to dry naturally, as again to try an avoid hair damage I let my hair dry naturally which takes a long time, it began to become frizzy. Once brushed, my hair became even more of a mess, standing in all angles on my head, fairly normal thing for someone who has slightly curly hair, or wavy hair, depending on everyone's individual opinions of defining curly or wavy hair. The next morning, I awoke with my hair feeling smoother than normal and looking a lot thicker, I looked in the mirror and BAM!: extremely soft, shiny waves, but guess what, I get that usually, so couldn't decipher if it was my natural hair or the oils working this. As the day progressed, I noticed my hair did indeed appear shinier, smoother and thicker, more than usual. So, did it work? Well I think it may have, yes. However I will be applying the next tube of oil Sunday same as last week and taking photographs to see if the difference is noticeable, so look out.

For now, we will just have to wait and see what this brings until my next post of this review.

Discovering The World Of Fragrance | My New & Favourite Perfumes & Fragrances

Discovering The World Of Fragrance | My New & Favourite Perfumes & Fragrances
(Photography taken by me Caris)

Hello I hope all is well. Today I have a mini review of mine, sharing my favourite and new perfumes and fragrances. Now, I am not sure if I would call myself a perfume lover. Only recently have I bothered to use perfumes apart from one which I rarely ever used. It was just because of the fact that I never wanted to or felt the need to, until I received many as gifts for my Birthday and Christmas and they smelt so nice. So here's my newly discovered and favourite perfumes and fragrances.

DKNY Red Delicious:
DKNY Red Delicious
(photography taken by me, Caris)
I recieved this perfume as a Christmas gift and I have to say it really does smell delicious. I love fruity flower smelling fragrances and perfumes and this one smells just like a delicious red apple; the pretty bottle being in the shape of an apple with a silver top and a touch spray dispenser. My favourite of all ny new perfumes.

I definitely recommend this for those like me who wish to have a lovely smelling perfume to wear which is not overwhelming, but a delicate scent to it, such as one of a flower or fruit extract. Just two sprays is all I think is needed with this perfume.

Britney Spears Believe:
Britney Spears Believe
(photgraph taken by me, Caris)
I am not normally one to buy products of the rich and famous, but this perfume smells lovely. I recieved this as a birthday gift and I really like it. It's hard to explain the way it smells, but it's a bit like something sweet like a rose or small flower.. I know an odd comparison but this perfumes scent is strong, with it being easily noticed with just one spray. Another perfume recommendation from me. A must for anyone like me who likes delicate perfumes and fragrances. One or two sprays is all I think I need because I only like to use a little perfume, otherwise too much can give me a headache.

So..? Kiss Me.
(photography by me Caris)
So...? Kiss Me:
So...? Kiss Me eua de toilette is an old favourite of mine. You can get 30ml bottles and 50ml bottles. I managed to find my current 50ml bottle in Boots for £5.24 instead of £10.49.  It smells so so nice. The best I can describe it is sweet smelling sugary scent. It smells so delicate and doesn't have that strong chemical hint in it like many perfumes do that
I have come across, so again just a few sprays and it lasts a long time being worth the cost. Plus it smells delightful too. I recommend this it is my all time favourite and I always must have one at home.

So..? Eternal
(photography taken by me, Caris)
So...? Eternal:
From the same people who made the So...? Kiss me eua de toilette, So...? Eternal was given to me as a gift for my 18th
Birthday and it has a very sweet smell to it. It smells like a mixture of vanilla essence and plant essence and once again only a few sprays are needed. I am still becoming used to this one as it smells like a more powerful version of the So...? Kiss Me but with the difference of a hint of vanilla and plant essence.

Those are all from my small collection of fragrances and perfumes, but I would definately recommend them and why not give them a try, being sure to always use the tester to be sure you like the fragrance and perfume that you've picked up. If you have any reviews on any of the following, why not share them below. Thankyou for reading :*
